MMPA 2025-12M Integrated Case Competition

This guide links to Library and FLC research resources for the case competitions offered in 2024.

Before the start of each case competition, students are welcome to contact the FLC at utm.lkcflc@utoronto.ca for help with research, or database and software-related questions.

When your research requires use of FactSet and/or the Bloomberg Terminals, please prepare ahead of time to ensure you have the access you need. 

• FactSet is installed on all the FLC workstations and this installed version doesn't require an individual login
• When the FLC is closed, our workstations can be accessed remotely
• Instructions for remote access are linked to on the FLC Software page: https://utm.library.utoronto.ca/flc/software 
• You cannot remotely access the FLC workstations when the lab is open 
• If you would like your own FactSet account, which provides both web access and the ability to download the installed version to a PC (not Mac compatible), please email the FLC at utm.lkcflc@utoronto.ca and provide your full name, U of T email address, program, and anticipated graduation date
• Use of FactSet Excel Templates requires the installed version of FactSet
• FactSet can take several days to activate accounts so please don't leave your request to the last minute!

• UTM has 3 Bloomberg terminals and they are available for in-person use only in the FLC
• Remote access to FLC workstations does not include Bloomberg access
• Bloomberg accounts are self-created, and instructions can be found in our Quick Start guide 
• The Bloomberg terminals are drop-in use and don't require booking
• If you need Bloomberg access and the terminals are in-use, please speak to FLC staff for help
• To use Bloomberg's Excel Templates, be sure to have Bloomberg and Excel both open
• Please check the FLC calendar to ensure there isn't a class or workshop in session when you expect to use either Bloomberg or FactSet in the lab
